Marble bowl
Technical analysis: Ultraviolet-induced visible light luminescence examination
This small, marble, rolled-rim bowl is complete with mended losses at the rim – an associated crack and two bonded fragments were filled and toned. A carved groove around the interior of the rim delineates from the rest of the interior of the bowl. A pale ring encircles the interior, about two thirds of the way down.
A thin layer of accretion covers most of the interior, but is less noticeable on the exterior of the vessel.
